CECILIA ZABALA, singer and songwriter from Buenos Aires!

Cecilia Zabala is an Argentinian guitarist, composer, singer and guitar teacher. She has been touring the world since 2006 and has released ten albums with her own songs, arrangements and instrumental compositions. Cecilia Zabala developed her own way of expressing herself musically - through a subtle dialogue between her guitar and her voice. Her music and lyrics speak of everyday beauty, respect for nature and equal opportunities. In her musical quest she combines Argentine folklore, jazz, Brazilian rhythms and the avant-garde of the 20th century. In 2018, the Argentine Ministry of Culture awarded the “Premio Nacional" (National Prize), the country's highest artistic and institutional recognition.

CONCIERTO LATINO - Argentina visits Kassel. This concert promises to be an incomparable evening with musical moods from the vastness of Argentine music culture, between tradition and innovation, between tango and folklore, between the new and the familiar.

The Argentinian musician and composer Diego Jascalevich, who lives in Kassel, has invited “compatriots” who are currently on a European tour to come to Kassel for his “Concierto Latino” series. This should arouse curiosity, as many a musical “delicacies” have already been found on this way to the North Hessian metropolis.
